Our club is all about having fun, staying active, and being part of a friendly, supportive community. We welcome players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, so don’t worry if you’re just starting out.

ABOUT US
Based in Witney, Oxfordshire, Witney Hockey Club is a vibrant, community focused club with over 400 members. We run nine adult teams and a thriving Junior Development Programme, offering top quality hockey for players of all ages and skill levels. Alongside our commitment to performance and development, we pride ourselves on our welcoming, sociable atmosphere both on and off the pitch.
A key part of our recent growth has been our strengthened partnership with Wood Green School, where we train and play. In 2024, we resurfaced the school’s astro pitch, it's first upgrade since it opened in 2004, thanks to the tireless efforts of our former Club Chair Liam Frost and Wood Green School Business Manager Adam Bridges, who worked for over 18 months to bring the plan to life. We are now proud to be the sole tenants of the Astro, a milestone that gives us year-round access and the flexibility to run more sessions for both members and the wider community.
This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for the club, reinforcing our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality hockey opportunities for all.
WE COACH
All our teams have dedicated coaches, offering consistent and quality coaching across the Ladies', Men's and Junior sections.
WE COMPETE
With training and competitive league matches weekly, we play hockey from local level to regional level.
WE PLAY
Part of what makes our club amazing is our people. We're a club of local players, who like to socialise locally too.
We have five Ladies teams offering a range of abilities and ages, with our Ladies 1XI playing in South Central Premier Division 1
