Got what it takes? Join us for the 21/22 season!
We’re looking for players to join our thriving hockey club. If you want to play National League hockey and be part of our 1XI Ladies amazing journey, then please get in touch. In addition, as the club continues to thrive, we want players of all abilities and ages to join Witney Hockey Club this season.
Our Ladies 1XI have been promoted three times in four years, this upcoming season playing in National League Conference West.
The squad trains twice a week, 8-9.30pm on a Tuesday and Thursday at Wood Green School in Witney. Training is run by our Head Coach Chris Boyle, an ex French International and experienced National League Player. He is a qualified coach who has coached international players and has been with us for over 10 years, helping bring the 1XI Ladies to the National League. With captain Katie Gatt and vice-captain Ellie Norton, the squad has strong foundations and train hard to play hard. We’re looking for players to join our home-grown squad and play the next level of hockey with us.
We continue to develop our players as individuals and the team collectively through quality coaching, video analysis and tactical development. If you want to develop yourself and play in a high quality league, please get in contact via our Contact Form.
The 1XI Men will this year play in South Central Premier 2, after a league re-structure which sees them playing new teams and giving them the opportunity to show their skills at a higher level. With a squad coached by Neil Chilvers, captain Thom Allinson and vice Tom Dobson, the men are excited by the season’s prospects and are heading in with high promotion hopes.
Alongside our 1XI teams, we have an additional three Ladies and two Men’s teams with spaces available in each. The creation of our 4XI Ladies team this year will allow our extremely capable juniors the ability to play adult hockey, and will provide our previously oversubscribed Ladies club with more opportunities to play and train. Providing sport for everyone in the community is an important part of our club ethos.
If you’re interested, please get in contact via our Contact Form and someone from the club will be in contact.
