We're raising money to buy and install new dugouts on our home pitch at Wood Green School. These dugouts will be placed on the far side of the pitch and will allow players and officials their own space and better shelter, leaving the near side purely for supporters.
This is an important year to complete this work as our 1XI Ladies have been promoted to National League. It is a requirement from England Hockey that there is clear space between players and officials and the supporters on the side line, and so we now require these for the new season. These shelters will aid all our teams and create a larger and safer area for our supporters on the near side of the pitch.
Unfortunately the effects of COVID have depleted the club's reserves and has left us unable to complete this work ourselves, so we're looking to you for help. All money raised for this project will go towards the purchase and installation of the dugouts, minus the cost of running our Crowdfunder page.
This is the first step to improving the facilities of our club, part of a bigger project to make Wood Green School more of a home for Witney Hockey Club. We have other improvements lined up for the summer to make our home ground somewhere we're proud to play.
